Dell PRO Enabled Management Pack works with SCOM/SCE and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2008 to manage Dell physical devices and their hosted virtual machines using health status information. Dell PRO Enabled Management Pack recommends remedial actions in the event of poor performance or a pending failure, by leveraging the monitoring and alerting capabilities of SCOM/SCE 2007 SP1 and remediation capabilities in SCVMM 2008.

Dell PRO Enabled Management Pack 1.0:
Simplifies management of physical and virtual machines on Dell PowerEdge servers by continually monitoring the workload on your infrastructure.
Works with SCOM/SCE and SCVMM to detect events such as loss of power supply redundancy, higher temperature than threshold values, server storage battery error, and virtual disk failure. Generates PRO Tip, a remedial or recommended action, such as movement of virtual machines or placing of host into maintenance mode, in the event of poor performance or a pending failure of your hardware.
Minimizes downtime by implementing the remedial action provided on PRO Tips, if so configured.

Download 1. Click the Download Now link to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
Extract Files 1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file to unzip the download package. 2. Specify the location to unzip the files. 3. Click on the unzip button to extract files.
Dell PRO Enabled Management pack for the 1.0 release is provided in a sealed format as a .mp file. To import the Dell PRO Enabled Management Pack do the following:
Download the Dell_PROPack_1.0.0_A00.exe from Dell website/ftp site to a removable media storage or local repository. Unzip the file and locate the Dell.Connections.Hyperv.PROPack.mp file. Open the SCOM/SCE console. Right-click Management Packs in the Administration tab.
The Select Management Pack to import screen is displayed. Browse to the location of Dell.Connections.Hyperv.PROPack.mp and select the file. Click Open.
The Import Management Packs screen is displayed with a warning message in the Management Pack Detailssection. SCOM/SCE displays this generic warning as a part of the security process when you manually install any Management Pack. Click Import.
A confirmation dialog box is displayed. Click Yes.
